Obituary:
Crandell M. Slone, 75 of Brunswick went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 15, 2010 at Pearlview Care Center. He was born November 12, 1934 in Haymond, Kentucky to Woodrow and Edith (nee Smith) Slone and worked for Ford Motor Company until he retired in 1991. He was an usher for Grace Baptist Church, and enjoyed camping, fishing, and traveling. He loved spending time with his family and his church family. Mr. Slone is survived by his wife of 56 years Shelby (nee Rose) Slone; children Debra (Doug) Nash of Chippewa Lake, David (Paula) Slone of Arizona, and Ramona (Ahmad) Hussein of Michigan; brother Johnny (Rosa) Bates of Kentucky; sisters Wanda (Almie) Stokes of Texas, Barbara Pigman of Kentucky, and Kathy (Woody) of Kentucky; grandchildren Shelly, Donna, Michael, Dawn, Shauna, Terra (Brad) Nash, Timothy Nash, and Krystle (Ken) Minnich; and many great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Friends may join the family for visitation on Thursday, February 18, 2010 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road (1/2 mile South of Route 303), Brunswick and one hour prior to service time at Church on Friday. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 19, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at Grace Baptist Church, 3289 Laurel Road, Brunswick with Pastor Don Pongallo officiating. Interment will follow in Eastlawn Memory Gardens.
