Ronald Raymond Phillips, 41 of Medina passed away on Sunday, July 18, 2010 unexpectedly. He was born in Wheeling, West Virginia on October 21, 1968 to Ronnie R. and Jacqueline (nee Borck) Phillips.   Ronald served in the United States Army Special Forces achieving the rank of Sergeant First Class and he was serving as a United States Federal Air Marshal. Ron is survived by his wife Melissa(neeGaskill ), children; Abby, Alissa and Christian, his mother Jackie, sister; Kimberly Phillips and his first wife and friend, Ann. Preceding him in death was his father. Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 27, 2010 from 2 to 4 PM & 6 to 8 PM at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 3477 Medina Road (Corner of Route 18 & River Styx Road), Medina.   There will also be Visitation beginning at 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM
at Grace Christian & Missionary Alliance Church 7393 Pearl Road Middleburg Hts, Ohio 44130 prior to the Funeral Service on Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at 1 PM.

Burial on Thursday, July 29, 2010 at 12 Noon in Riverview Cemetery, Martins Ferry, Ohio. Family requests in lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Abby Phillips Educational Fund, 5600 Hartneck Rd. Valley City, Ohio 44280

posting "nice" --kim,every one of those kids in the front row and other rows are sending up prayers for you. and jackie, all the parents of those kids in the front row are praying for you and your family (other rows as well) i can see ron now, sitting at the throne of God, in the front row saying "nice"--May God wrap you up in His arms and comfort you.

We wish to send our condolence's to all the Phillips family for the loss of Ron. I am Lonnie's father and had the pleasure of having Ron stay with us when he visited Lonnie after boot camp. Ron was a real joy to have around and a wonderful young man. He will be missed by all that knew him.
