Albert M. “Pops” Spolarich of Garrettsville, passed peacefully on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at the grand age of 91. He was born January 23, 1923 in Cleveland, Ohio to Steve and Mary (Grdanc) Spolarich.
Albert quit school at an early age to help his family on the farm. During that time he would meet his one true love, Anne Bratina, who would later become his wife. Albert would accomplish many great things in his life with his wife at this side. He created a very successful excavating company which would lead him to the legacy he left to his wife and son, “A & A Gun Club.”
Albert is survived by his wife, Anne Spolarich who he married Oct. 20, 1944; sister, Paula Spolarich; son, Joseph Spolarich; daughter-in-law, Cathy Spolarich; granddaughter, Anne Cooper, who gave him five beautiful great-grandchildren; his grandson, John Spolarich, and Pam Bunnenburg, Goddaughter.
He was predeceased by his parents; brother, Louis; and sisters, Stephanie and Elsie.
Calling hours will be held Friday, September 26, 2014 from 1-3 PM and 6-8 PM at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, OH 44231. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 AM on Saturday at St. Edward’s Catholic Church, 1610 Center St., Parkman, OH 44080 with Fr. John Berkley officiating. Interment will be at Harrington Cemetery, Nelson Township.
