RONALD J. JOGAN

April 10, 1952 — May 26, 2018

Ronald J. Jogan, born in Cleveland, Ohio, April 10, 1952, passed away May 26, 2018 at home surrounded by loved ones in Brunswick, Ohio. Ron was lovingly cared for, and will be profoundly missed by, his wife of 30 years, Loretta Teets-Jogan.

In 1970, Ron enlisted in the Army during the Cold War, and served as a Cannoneer in the 18th Artillery Group Air Defense Command, Oakdale, PA; ending his active duty service honorably in 1972 in the B Battery 3rd Battalion 1st Artillery ARADCOM, and his reserve service with the USAR Control Group (ANL TNG) in 1973, earning the National Defense Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal. Ron worked for the Cuyahoga County Public Library System, retiring after 34 years. Ron was an avid bowler for many years, earning a 300 ring, enjoyed vacationing in the Smokie Mountains, loved being a “chauffer” for his mother-in-law, Betty L. Teets (deceased), and friend Betty Nash (deceased) on casino trips, sitting by the fire, and playing a dice game on the porch with neighbors and dear friends.

Ron was predeceased by his parents Frank and Leona (nee Marshall) Jogan and mother and father-in-law John and Betty Teets.

Ron’s kindness, gentleness and his ability to make one laugh will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by his wife, his brothers, Frank, Robert (Judy), and James (Cindy), his many nieces, nephews, including Tim, Jeff, Karen, Chrissy, Bethany, and Maria Jogan, Johnathan D.S. Teets, many great-nieces and nephews, and by his in-laws, Betty and Steven Gooslin, Johnathan Teets, and Gerald Teets, and good friends Joe Lynch and Jeff Koepke, all of whom will always carry fond memories of Ron in their hearts.

Formal funeral services will not be held. Rather, his ashes will be honorably inurned on June 6th, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial contribution in Ron’s name to the Holy Family Health Care & Hospice. Arrangements were entrusted to Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services 1642 Pearl Rd., Brunswick, Ohio 44212.
