Born January 13th, 1957, at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Warren, OH, he was the loving son of  Helen E. (Gill)  & the late Louis P. Danku. Greg was the cherished husband of Patricia (Pritchard) and the beloved father of Louis. Greg loved sports & children, and combined these by coaching.  His enthusiasm and love of the game will be missed by many of the children he coached in Little League baseball for 23 years, & boys basketball for 3 years. In 1991, he was the assistant coach of the high school basketball team when his nephew, Stuart, was playing.  Greg was proud of having played the trumpet and drums with the Mohawks Drum and Bugle Corps.

A graduate of James A. Garfield High School in 1975, he then attended Kent State University. He was employed with the Ohio Turnpike Commission for over 30 years, recently retiring as a Trades Division Supervisor. Greg was an avid bowler on teams in Ravenna, Kent and Garrettsville for many years, and bowled five 300 games. Greg organized an annual golf outing for family and friends taking them to southern Ohio and West Virginia.

Greg was a quiet, good man with a great sense of humor, and he was greatly loved and respected by all those who considered themselves privileged to call him friend.

Dear Trish and Louie... I am so very sorry for your loss. Although the craziness that is the first week of the semester will prevent me from seeing you today or tomorrow, know that my thoughts and prayers are with you now and in the days to come.

So sorry for your loss, dear Trish and Louie. We remember Trish and Greg from Avery and Chris's wedding many years ago in Victoria, BC. Wes's brother Rodney passed from pancreatic cancer just a year ago at age 61. It is such a rapid process and we are glad that you were and are surrounded by loving family and dear friends in your community. God bless you and keep you as your go through this time.

Trish and Louie, we are so sorry to hear of Greg's passing. Most memorable to us were Greg's contributions to the Garfield baseball and basketball programs. He was a dedicated, honest coach and will be greatly missed by Crestwood. Please know that you and your family are in our thoughts.

Trish, Louie, Helen and Family Howard and I both send our thoughts and prayers to all of you at this difficult time. When I was home visiting during the winter months, I would go into the gym where Greg & Jeff were practicing basketball with the boys. He truly enjoyed the coaching. He will be missed. God Bless You

Dear Trish and Louis, You have lost an amazing husband and father and I have lost a wonderful cousin. Growing up I remember Greg to be very quiet and shy, but he had such a warm smile and an even bigger heart. I know he's with Sandy, Jerry and Uncle Lou, but that doesn't bring much comfort for those of us left behind. I hope as time goes on you find peace and comfort in your memories. You were truly Blessed even if for only a short while, in time you will be together again. He watches over you from above and when you feel a warm breeze across your face, that's Greg sending you kissses. He waits for you in your dreams. God Bless you and Louis. Lots of Love and Prayers.
