Obituary: |
Myron K. Beechy, 80 years old of Southington, entered into eternal rest at his residence on Sunday, February 19, 2012. He was born February 27, 1931 in Sugarcreek, OH to David and Bernice (Barkley) Beechy.
Myron graduated from Sugarcreek Garaway High School and Tri-State College in Angola, Indiana with a degree in Accounting. He was a proud member of the United States Marine Corp where he served as a fireman state side. Upon completing his education and military service, he moved to Southington where he helped start Beechy Cheese and co-founded Forest Oaks Golf Club with his brother Max. Shortly after he met the love of his life Mary Reynolds of Parkman. They married on October 7, 1961 and proceeded on a successful journey that lasted 49 years until Mary’s passing in 2011. He also worked at the Ravenna Arsenal and Grinnell while owning/operating Forest Oaks Golf Club. Myron enjoyed working on his golf course with his family, relaxing on his front porch watching refrigerated cheese trucks pass by, and listening to his police scanner. He was a member of the Parkman Congregational Church.
Myron is survived by his three children, Marc Beechy and his fiancée’ Charlene Monsanty of Southington, Margo Beechy Argenziano of Southington and Mickey ( Belinda ) Beechy of Southington; grandchildren, Stevie Argenziano, Amber Beechy, Logan Alexander Beechy, Trenton Beechy, Logan McMasters, and Olivia McMasters all of Southington, and many nieces and nephews . He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Mary (Reynolds) Beechy, and his brother Max.
Calling hours will be held from 6-8 PM on Thursday, February 23, 2012
at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, OH 44231. Funeral services will be at 11 AM on Friday at the funeral home with Pastor Rod Edwards of the Parkman Congregational Church officiating. Burial will take place at the Graham Cemetery in Southington with full military honors provided by Mantua American Legion Post #193. Marc, Margo and Mickey,
I amso sorry to hear about the loss of your father. He was alway kind and cordial anytime I saw him. He was a benefit to the community as was your mother. I think of them everytime I drive down 422 or past the house on 305. God bless you all in your time of loss. My thoughts and praryers are with you.
