Alexander Riff

Photo: Obituary: Alexander Riff 90, of Medina passed away July 7, 2012. He was born September 22, 1921 in Yugoslavia to Peter and Rose (nee Berjer) Riff. Mr. Riff served in the United States Navy during WW II. Alex and Eugenia “Gene” (nee Petty) were married on October 5, 1946. He was a Case Western University Graduate with a degree in Civil Engineering. Alex was president of Dravo Marks in Brunswick, OH. and Director of Economic Development in Medina for several years. He enjoyed summer outings with the US Navy Seabees and loved to Golf, Garden, and spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, son Eric (Sylvia) of North Carolina, daughters; Carolyn (Duane) Johnson of California, Lauretta Messner of California, and Sandra Keenan of Ohio. He was the proud Grandfather of eleven and Great-Grandfather of nine. Preceding him in death were his parents and brothers; Joseph and Alexander. Private family service at a later date in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery Rittman, Ohio.
