ANNE C GERRES

Anne Christine Gerres (nee Kozak), 97, passed away Sunday, August 1, 2021, in Elyria, OH. She was born September 24, 1923, in Boardman, PA to the late Joseph and Sophia (nee Andyshak) Kozak.

She attended West Tech. Anne was a loving mother and grandmother. She was an avid golfer and a super bowler with many trophies to show. Anne enjoyed ballroom dancing at the Old Cleveland Ballroom with her sisters. She enjoyed flying, trains, and traveling. Anne was a devoted and super Cleveland Indians fan.

Anne is survived by her loving children, John (Susanne) Gerres and Francine Gerres-Lubera; grandchildren, Dr. Jennifer (David Lay) Gerres and Jeffrey Gerres; and her cat, Aggie. She was a beloved aunt of many.

She was preceded in death in 2004 by her husband, Frank John; her siblings, Christine, Joseph, Michael, Mary, Josephine, and Frankie.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 10, 2021, from 9-10 am in St. Ambrose Catholic Parish, 929 Pearl Rd, Brunswick, OH 44212. Christian Mass at 10 am at St. Ambrose with interment to follow at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Funeral arrangement have been entrusted to Carlson Funeral Homes and Cremation Services.
