Anthony Lee Sims, age 28, of Chatham, passed away on April 26, 2020. He was born on March 2, 1992 in Medina, Ohio to Ronald and Anastasia (nee Sarantos) Sims.
Anthony was fun-loving with a larger than life personality. He was an asset, as well as mechanic to the family business, Chatham Trucking. He loved spending quality time with his dad working on trucks, his mom's amazing home cooked meals, and he was the best brother, always taking pride in protecting his big sister. Growing up Anthony was a great athlete, playing basketball, baseball and football. At times, he could be a little mischievous, but it was hard to stay mad at him because he would always end up making you laugh. He also enjoyed hanging with friends and caring for his dogs, Blue and Buster. Anthony will always be remembered for his happy spirit, kind heart and positive outlook on life, no matter the situation.
Anthony will be dearly missed by so many, including his sister, Kristina Sims (Fiancé, Chad Breucker); his grandparents, Virginia Sarantos and Richard Sims; his aunt and uncle, Christina and John Dudich; and his cousins, Alexandria, Jack, and Mathew.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Anthony Sarantos and Janet Sims; and his uncle, Billy Riggen (Pam).
Arrangements have been entrusted to Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 3477 Medina Road, Medina, Ohio 44256. A private service will be held for Anthony with burial to follow, at Chatham Township Cemetery in Chatham, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Anthony’s name to Hope Recovery Community, 200 Highland Drive, Medina, Ohio 44256, to help those impacted by the disease of addiction.
