Barbara M. Towslee 76, a long time resident of Brunswick, passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2011. She was born on July 1, 1934 in Elyria, Ohio.
Barbara married George Towslee on October 9, 1954, her loving husband; he passed away in 1996. Her family fulfilled her life, along with her other accomplishments of being a Site Manager for Brunswick City Schools and holding distinguished positions in Brunswick Kiwanis. She resided for the past several months at Plum Creek Assisted Living where she made many new friends and spent many delightful hours creating crafts and playing dominos.
She leaves behind her loving family, son Raymond (wife Jeanie), daughter Norma (husband Marc) Grossman, son Wayne (wife Kim), daughter Pamela (husband Mark) Thompson, daughter Darlene (husband Haedin) DeLarec, son Robert (wife Carrie) also her beloved grandchildren: Stephanie (husband Daniel) Brown, Amanda DeLarec, Jessica Towslee, Michael Towslee, Michelle (husband Odie) Arkayus, Brandon Leslie, Bradley Leslie (fiancé Ashley), Brooke Leslie, great grandson, Zayne Leslie, siblings Lois Lassond, Carol Hellmers, Marty Swenski, Don “Butch” Hastings and other family and friends.
Preceding her in death, her husband, parents and sister Phyllis Kimble.
Friends are welcome to join the family for visitation on Friday, April 29, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 3477 Medina Road (Corner of Route 18 & River Styx Road), Medina. Funeral service will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, April 30, 2011 also at the funeral home. Rev. Matthew Wald officiating. Burial to follow in Eastlawn Memory Gardens, Brunswick. Contributions may be made Hospice of Medina County 797 N. Court Street, Medina, Ohio 44256.
