CARMELLA FOLAN

Carmella Folan, age 92, of Brunswick, passed away on Saturday, August 21, 2021. She was born on July 16, 1929, at Johnstown, PA to Salvatore and Maria (nee Calabria) Medile.

In addition to her parents, Carmella was proceeded in death by her loving husband of 40 years, Thomas Folan Sr.; son, Thomas A. Folan Jr.; great great grandson, Anthony; and her siblings, Joseph (Marge) Medile, Antoinette (John) Foster, Theresa (Edward) Pullin, Sarah (Phillip) Berdine, Rose (Michael) Mitchell, and Nunzio Medile.

Carmella will be missed by her loving daughter, Ruth Cox; daughter-in-law, Jane Folan; niece and caregiver, Rita Roth; grandchildren, Jennifer Folan, Brittany (Norm Jones III) Folan, Kristina Folan, Tommy (Taylor) Folan, January (Troy Price) Thompson, Ryan (Kimberly) Cox; great grandchildren, Marissa, Syndey, Austin, Anthony, Skylar, Cami, Easton, Thomas, Siddaleigh, Dylan, Kaitlyn (Nathaniel) Gilmour, Alexis (Cameron Price) Thompson, Emily Thompson, Angelina Thompson; great-great grandchildren, Aiden, Lorelai, Braxton; her many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews; and good friends.

She was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Parish and the Brunswick VFW Post 9520 Auxiliary. Carmella enjoyed many activities with her family and friends, especially playing BINGO, going to the casino, and watching the Cleveland Browns play. She loved cooking for friends and family. Spending time with her family and grandbabies were her most precious moments. Many knew Carmella by the color purple and the angel pins that she loved and always wore.

Friends may join the family for visitation for Carmella on Wednesday, August 25, 2021, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM in Carlson Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Rd., (1/2 mile south of Route 303), Brunswick, Ohio. Visitation followed by Mass at 12 PM on Thursday, August 26, 2021, in St Ambrose Catholic Parish, Brunswick. Interment will follow at Eastlawn Memory Gardens.
