CAROLYN LEE TORRENCE

Carolyn L. Torrence (nee, Lange), 87, of Champion, joined her Lord and Saviour on Tuesday, May 26, 2020. She was born on February 17, 1933, in Salineville, Ohio to William and Nellie (Brown) Lange.
She grew up in Salineville then moved to Cleveland with her family as a 10 year old, girl. Carolyn was the kind of women who never met a stranger. She loved everyone. Her favorite pastime was swimming in the back-yard pool and watching her son play Little League baseball and football during school. She enjoyed her bingo games with her friends. Carolyn met a young man in Shaw High School, Ronald H. Torrence, and was blessed to share 57 years of marriage with him.
Carolyn will be deeply missed by her loving son and daughter-in-law Ron and Jeannie Torrence; granddaughter, Jeannie (Ray) Schmucker; great-grandchildren, Holly Rae Nelson and Samuel Torrence Schmucker.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband Ronald in 2011.
Private family graveside services will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Bedford Heights, where Carolyn and Ron will be laid to rest together. Arrangements for Carolyn were entrusted to Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services 8382 Center St. Garrettsville, OH 44231.
