Cecil "Tom" Friend

Photo: Obituary: Cecil “Tom” Friend 84, of Brunswick, passed away on Friday, November 2, 2012 at his residence with his family near. He was born in Friendsville, Maryland to Fred “Bliss” and Goldie (nee Myers) Friend. Tom was a US Navy Seabees WW II Veteran also serving in Korea. He was a truck driver and a member of Teamsters Local #407 for 33 years, retiring from Yellow Freight. Tom enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family. He loved his family, and he will be missed by his wife of 54 years Rosemarie (nee Fozio); children, Roxanne (Dennis) Grote, Rose Anne Friend, Robert (Lois) Friend, Randy (Patty) Friend; his beloved grandchildren, Robert and Susan Friend and Dennis Grote Jr. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 8, 2012 from 4 to 8 PM with Funeral Service to follow at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road (½ mile South of Route 303), Brunswick.
