Christine (nee Hornick) Popovich, 66, of Brunswick, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 15, 2013. She was born January 17, 1947 in Cleveland, Ohio to Stephen and Helen Hornick (both are deceased).
She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Rudy Popovich. She was the loving mother to Lisa (Debbie), Laura (Larry), Lee Ann (Keith), and Lynn (Steve), loving Nana to Jake, Ryan, Carson, and Sydney, and loving mother figure to Edward Huber. She was the sister to Julie Kormos, sister-in-law to Gizella Weaver (Robert, deceased) and aunt and friend to many.
Her family was her everything, she was an avid Cleveland Indians fan, and she loved her lottery.
Friends may join the family for Visitation on Monday, November 18, 2013 from 4 to 8 PM at Carlson Funeral Home, 3477 Medina Road (corner of Rt. 18 & River Styx Rd) Medina, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Ambrose Parish Church 929 Pearl Road, Brunswick, Ohio on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at 10 AM with Fr. Bob Wenz officiating. Additional Visitation from 9 to 10 AM prior to Mass at the church. (PLEASE MEET AT THE CHURCH). Burial to follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Valley City, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation be made to Hospice of Medina County, 5075 Windfall Road, Medina, OH 44256.
