Danika Rae Schmidt, age 24, entered into rest on April 29, 2013 in Hinckley, OH. She was born in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin to Robert and Deborah Ann (Bonetsky) Schmidt.
Danika is survived by her Parents; brother, Michael John Schmidt (fiancée Danielle Sutherland); Aunt Lisa Marie (Bonetsky) Lee and Uncle Rick; Half-brother Benjamin John, and Half-sister Jennifer Lynn.
We watched you grow and loved to hear you sing songs to yourself in your room. Your talent in art produced many cherished sketches and the “Only for Me” jewelry line. You had an incredible love of animals, large and small, and you are sorely missed by your wonderful dog, Roxie, and your favorite cat, Bigfoot. Danika’s gift with animals was easily seen, having worked with various horses from the age of nine. Danika’s gifts also included a passion for helping people, which she exercised in pursuit of a career in the medical field.
Memorial service will be held on Friday, May 3rd at 6:00 at Richfield United Church of Christ, 4340 W. Streetsboro Rd., Richfield, OH 44286.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Carlson Funeral Home, Brunswick. Donations may be made to V-Day International Charity, an organization devoted to ending violence against women and girls worldwide ( www.vday.org ).
