DEREK L "SPIKE" SPEICHER
November 17, 1976 — August 1, 2016
Derek L. “Spike” Speicher, 39, of Champion passed away suddenly in a car accident on Monday August 1st, 2016. He was born on November 17th, 1976 in Warren, Ohio to Alvin and Peggy (Wilthew) Speicher.
Derek felt blessed to have married the love of his life Rachel (Perrine) Speicher on Saturday July 30th 2016. He loved her so!
Derek loved dirt bikes, snow mobiles, camping and anything to do with the outdoors. He was a mans man and was looking forward to settling down to married life with his loving Rachel. Derek was a proud graduate of Windham High School where he played multiple sports including baseball, golf and bowling, winning multiple awards.
He is survived by his loving wife, parents, children Sam Speicher of Windham and Cortney Speicher of Warren. Derek is deeply missed by his dog Abbey Road.
He never knew a stranger.
Visitation for family and friends will be on Sunday, August 7, 2016 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM with the funeral service at 4:00 PM at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services 8382 Center St. Garrettsville, Ohio 44231.
