DON A. SYNNESTVEDT

November 23, 1929 - February 2, 2022

Don Synnestvedt, 92, of Freedom Township, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, February 2, 2022, with his loving wife of 70 years, Dorothy, at his side. He was born and raised in Bryn Athyn, Pennsylvania, which will also be his final resting place. During the Korean War Don served 4 years in the United States Navy as an Electrician's Mate, 1st Class, aboard the USS Midway. After he left the Navy, he went to Bryn Athyn College on the G.I. Bill, and later served as Commander of the Coast Guard Auxiliary. While working as a project engineer at Ajax Magnethermic Corporation in Warren, Ohio, he moved his family to Garrettsville, Ohio, where he served on the town council. Don will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Dorothy (Garrison) and his children, Dave, Dan (Lisa), Dean (Dee). Don and Dorothy have been blessed with 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oliver and Marie (nee Deltenre) Synnestvedt, and his brothers, Fred (Josephine) and Louis (Gertrude).
