DONNA LEE HOPKINS
June 28, 1941 — August 26, 2018
Donna Lee Hopkins (nee Evans), age 77, of Medina, passed away on August 26, 2018. She was born on June 28, 1941 in Cleveland, OH to the late Harold and Dorothy (nee Conaway) Evans.
Donna wanted to share the following with you in her own words:
Don’t mourn for me, as I have been transformed from my natural body to my spiritual body and I am now in the presence of God. I will greatly miss my loving husband Phil. For 58 years, we walked the pathway of life together sharing the joy, dreams, and sorrow it brought our way. We were blessed with two children, Laura Lee (Alan) Schiely and Brian (Kimberly). My grandchildren, Tyler, Arica, Macie, Avery, Ashlyn, Jackson, and Garrett, brought endless joy into my life. In addition to my husband and children, I am survived by my brother, Arthur (Deborah) Evans and their children, Christopher, Matthew and Skyler. My life is full knowing that my family also know my Lord and Savior.
Growing up in a Christian home, I loved Jesus with all my heart. In 1969, my dear Aunt Alma shared with me what God required of us to ensure a joy-giving, personal relationship and the guarantee of eternal life with Him. John 14:6 clearly states the only way to the Father is through the Son. I have dedicated my life to the Lord, experienced a personal relationship with Him, and I am now living in Heaven with my Savior. My prayer has been for you to read this and that you consider a personal relationship with the God who IS, and not the gods you create. Please read the Gospel of John for yourself.
A graveside service will be held for Donna on August 30, at 1:00PM at Crown Hill Cemetery, 8592 Darrow Rd. in Twinsburg, OH. Services have been entrusted to Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, Medina.
