Obituary: Earlena Pearl Clift (nee Carson), age 76 of Brunswick, previously of Tennessee, entered into rest on Friday, March 22, 2013. She was born September 17, 1936 in Newport, Tennessee to Charles Ailey and Bonnie (nee Lindsey). Earlena enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved watching her grandkids playing sports and watching sports and old movies with her husband. She enjoyed watching birds outside her window, planting flowers in the Summer, sitting in the sunshine and the colors of Autumn also watching the snow falling in the Winter. She will be missed by her loving family; husband James L. son, James Jr. (Pamela), daughters, Tammy (Thomas) Murphy, Wendy (Richard) Hooley, son, Gary (Natalie), 17 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and brother, Ronald Carson. Earlena was preceded in death by her parents, brother Bud Carson and sister Audrey Anderson. Friends may join the family for Visitation on Monday, March 25, 2013, from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road (½ mile South of Route 303), Brunswick. Funeral Service will be held at 7:30 PM with Pastor Powers of Grace Baptist Church officiating. Visitation will also be held Wednesday, March 27, 2013 from 10 to 11 AM at the Manes Funeral Home 363 E. Main St. Newport, Tennessee. Funeral Service following at 11AM. Earlena will be laid to rest in Union Cemetery in Newport, Tennessee. Family suggests in lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Diabetes Association of Greater Cleveland 3601 S.
