Edward W. Garfield, Jr. age 89, of North Ridgeville, formerly of Brunswick, passed away on April 27, 2020 at O’Neill Healthcare, North Ridgeville.
Ted was born on October 23, 1930 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Edward and Hope (nee Dillingham) Garfield.
He served in the United States Army. He was past president of the Eagles, Brunswick and vice-president of the Ohio Aerie 3505 since 1984.
Ted enjoyed golfing, bowling, music and loved dogs, especially cocker spaniels. He was an avid Cleveland Indians fan. He had an extraordinary vocabulary from having done crossword puzzles his whole life.
He is survived by his loving children, Marjory Theobald, Elizabeth Klanac, Susan Hawley and Edward Garfield III; 3 grandchildren; and sister, Dorothy Stivers.
Private services will be handled at a later date by Carlson Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, Brunswick.
