ELEANOR T. EVANS

Eleanor T. Evans, 82 of Nelson Twp., passed away at her residence on Wednesday, November 27, 2013. She was born January 24, 1931 in Garrettsville, Ohio to Rodger L. and Vera S. (Shoemaker) Thrasher.
Eleanor was a machine operator at Sayjar Plastics. She was a member of Faith Evangelical Church where she was a nursery helper. She sang in the Ravenna Community Choir, and enjoyed crocheting, knitting and spending time with family and friends.
Eleanor is survived by her sons, Elton (Rita) Evans Jr. of Tennessee, Earl E. Evans of South Carolina, Rodger Evans of Garrettsville and Dale (Jeri) Evans of Florida; daughter, Vera (Daniel) Sweda-Miller of Ravenna, 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Elton E. Evans Sr.; brother, Rodger (Candy) Thrasher; and sister, Edna (George) Breitenbach.
Calling hours are 6-8 PM on Monday, December 2, 2013 and Tuesday 11 AM to 12 noon at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, Ohio 44231. Funeral services will be at 12 noon on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery, Garrettsville.
