Elizabeth A. “Betty” Kirby (nee Cox), 80 of Brunswick passed away on September 30, 2012 at Southwest Hospice in Strongsville.
She was born in Cleveland to George Cox and Lottie Makjewski.
Betty was a devoted, loving mother, Granny and friend to all. She lived in Brunswick for 54 years and was an avid Indians fan.
Betty is survived by her loving children Jeffery Russell, Jack (Diane) Russell and Darlene (Randy) Hilverding; brothers Raymond (Grace) Cox and Donald Cox; grandchildren Jeffery, Jr (Tonya), Randy II (Cindy), Kirby (Tina), Michelle, David, Dawn, Tonya (Clint), Melonie, Christina, Terry Robert, Matthew, Christopher and Katelyn; great grandchildren Randy III, Michael, Kyle, Owen, Julia, Tony, Amanda, Annabella, Joey, Joshua, Jacob, Antwon, Felicia, Dasiya, Hailey, Kimberly, Clint, Chrissy, Chuckie and Megan; great-great grandson Shawn Jeffery, previous mother-in-law of Sandy and Beverly.
She was preceded in death by her husband Clay; brothers Robert and Richard; sister Ruth Strong; sister-in-laws Barbara Cox, Barb Cox and Rita Cox; brother-in-law Robert Strong; granddaughters April and Kimberly; and her parents.
Friends may join the family for Visitation on Thursday, October 4, 2012 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road (½ mile South of Route 303), Brunswick. Funeral Service will be 10:00 AM on Friday, October 5, 2012 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Eastlawn. Memorial contributions can be made to the family in care of Carlson Funeral Homes, 1642 Pearl Road, Brunswick, OH 44212.
