ERNESTINE VALENTINE

Ernestine Valentine (nee Mathers), age 91, of Brunswick, passed away on Saturday, September 22, 2018 in Generations Senior Living, Strongsville. She was born on November 9, 1926 in Burnt House, WV to the late James and Hazel (nee Frederick) Mathers.

Ernestine enjoyed spending time with her family foremost, also enjoyed gardening, flowers and vegetables, canning and crafting.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Sandra (Peter) Valentine-Kelly, of Brunswick; grandchildren, James (Sandra) McMillan, of FL, Jeffery (Robin) McMillan, of Elyria, and Richard McMillan, of Brunswick; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Kayleigh, Andy, Luke and Macy McMillan; great great grandchild, Lilly McMillan; sister in law, Judy Ann Mathers.

Ernie was preceded in death by husband of 50 years, Delford (Whitey) Valentine; siblings, Harold Mathers, Eleanor Clayton, Tina Clayton, twin brother, Eugene Mathers, and James Mathers.

Family will receive friends for Ernie on Wednesday, September 26, 2018, from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm in the Carlson Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road, Brunswick, Ohio. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 27, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by burial at Eastlawn Memory Gardens, Brunswick.
