EVELYN KACENSKI

May 12, 1939 — October 24, 2021

Evelyn Kacenski, 82, of Mantua, passed away on Sunday, October 24, 2021, with her loving family at her side. She was born May 12, 1939, in Corry, PA to the late Charles & Velma (Lewis) Henry.

She was an independent, spunky, and generous woman. Evelyn loved her family, to cook, and cared for all kinds of animals, especially the strays. She enjoyed spending time outside, watching old movies, and doing puzzles. In her early years Evelyn was an avid bowler and horse enthusiast. She was an impressive gardener that could tell you about any plant, flower, or tree. She was always resourceful and was able to make the most out of practically nothing.

Evelyn will be deeply missed by her children, Darryl (Mary) Way, Doug (Ronda) Way, Sheila (Mike) Riffle, Debbie (Joe) Fabry, Kim (Rocky) Hager, Steven Kacenski, and Patty (Matt) Noah; grandchildren, Darren, Derrek, Kaylene, Tyson, Madilyn, Jenna, Alex, Jordan, Daniel, Megan, Rocky Jr, Stephen Jr, Lauren & Aiden; great grandchildren, Lainey, Rhye, Noella, Easton, Mason, Sohpia & Deacon; sisters, Nancy (Bill) Pennington of Ontario CA, Wanda (Richard) Polomsky of Middlefield OH, brother Richard (Annie) Henry of Silver Creek NY, many nieces, nephews, and her four legged best friend, Daisy.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Twyla Holzhauer.

Per Evelyn's request, cremation has taken place. Care for Evelyn was entrusted to Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services 8382 Center St., Garrettsville. The family will announce a Celebration of Life gathering at a later date.
