Evelyn Mae Murphy, 94 of Brunswick, passed away on October 5, 2010. She was born April 17, 1916 in Birmingham, Alabama to William and Mary (nee Ziak) Howard.
Evelyn married Frank Murphy and enjoyed 57 years together, raising their children. She was a Telecommunications Manager at Cleveland Electric Illuminating Company for 25 years. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and spent great times with all of her family from young to old. She also enjoyed her family dog “Vader”.
Evelyn is survived by her children Patricia A. (Edward) Cornely of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Kathleen M. Murphy of Brunswick, Mary Elizabeth Murphy of Brunswick; sister Myrtle Stabile of Brunswick, 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great children and a dear aunt, great aunt, and great-great aunt.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Frank, her parents, son James Leo Murphy, 6 brothers and sisters and brother-in-law Anthony Stabile.
Friends will meet at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 929 Pearl Road, Brunswick, Ohio for services on Thursday, October 7, 2010. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. Inurnment at a later date.
Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road Brunswick were entrusted with her arrangements.
