She was born in Cleveland, June 11, 1941 to George and Margaret (nee Gunsel) Helwig. Evelyn was a member of the Hiking Club, loved knitting and sewing , was passionate about cooking and was very devoted to her faith. She is survived by her parents; beloved children Noreen Rogers, Deanna (Bob) Upp, Martin Rogers, Margaret (Eric) Newhouse, Thomas Rogers; siblings Linda (Alan) Koski, Sharon (Dennis) Bishop; brother-in-law Jim Cruse and 8 loving grandchildren. Evelyn was preceded in death by her brother George Helwig and her sister Carol Cruse. Friends may join the family for visitation on Friday, June 22, 2012 from 3:00-7:00 PM with service following at 7:00 PM at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road (½ mile South of Route 303), Brunswick.
