FLOYD E. PAHORESKY

Together again

Floyd E. Pahoresky, 84, of Shalersville, was received into eternal life with God, on Monday, March 23, 2020, with his family by his side. He was born March 21, 1936 in Shaker Heights, Ohio to Floyd J. and Marie (nee Gannon ) Pahoresky.

He attended Benedictine High School, graduating in 1954. Floyd met the love of his life Joan Blake and married her on June 21, 1956. He retired from Ohio Bell/AT&T. Floyd was a wonderful son, brother, husband, father and grandfather and a friend to so many. He was the great patriarch of the Pahoresky/Gannon family and “Griller in Charge” for the annual family reunions. Floyd was a lifetime gardener, sharing his bounty with family and friends. He was an avid bowler and member of the Ravenna Elks Lodge.

Floyd will be deeply missed by his loving children; John (Kim) Pahoresky of Mantua, Debra Blake of Hiram, Victoria (Ed) Costa of Melbourne, Florida and Marian (Kevin) Phillips of Shalersville; his loving grandchildren Michael and Heather Pahoresky, Tawny King, Alexandria and Olivia Phillips, and great-grandchildren Declin and Taryn.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Joan, with whom he was blessed to share 59 years of marriage.

Floyds wishes for cremation have been entrusted to Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services 8382 Center St. Garrettsville, OH 4431. A private family burial will be held at a later date in Riverside Cemetery, where Floyd will be laid to rest alongside his beloved wife. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mantua at a later date.
