Grace Shay, 93, of Freedom Township, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her two loving daughters, Sue and Tammy, on Sunday, November 28, 2021. She was born in Westfield, Massachusetts on March 16, 1928, to the late George and Doris (nee Northrup) Shay.
She was raised in Massachusetts until a year and a half ago, when she decided to call Ohio her home. Grace enjoyed playing poker, reading, playing bingo, and watching country and western movies. She was an angel in disguise; if someone needed anything, be it a member of the family or a friend, she was there.
Grace will be deeply missed by her children, Larry, Bubby, Eddie, Sandy, Kathy, Sue, and Tammy; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her fur baby, Twinkie, whom she loved with all her heart, and many nieces, nephews, and friends. She will be missed by anyone who had the privilege of knowing her and will be especially missed by her daughter/best friend, Tammy.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and her son, Bobbie Rising.
