Helen Marie Barabas

: Photo: Obituary: Helen Marie Barabas., age 97, of Medina, passed away Thursday, January 26, 2012. She was born to Josef and Anna (nee Pesout ) Cermak on December 14, 1914 in Cleveland. Helen and Bernard A. Barabas were married on June 28, 1941. Bernard passed away February 24, 1972. Helen was employed at General Electric-Euclid Lamp Plant and volunteered at Deaconess Hospital in Cleveland for over 20 years. She selflessly devoted her love to her family and was an avid bowler. Helen will be dearly missed by her children Adrienne (Norman) Abookire, Bernard (Denise) Barabas, and Laraine Barabas (James) Sedlmeyer; grandchildren Aron, Danielle, Hilary, Aimee, Nathan, Ian and Andrew; great-grandchildren Alison, Joshua, Nicole, Matthew, Michael and Chloe. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband and siblings Anna, Joseph, Stanley, Frank and Herbert. Visitation will be held Sunday, January 29, 2012 from 2 to 6 PM at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services 3477 Medina Road Medina, Ohio with Mass of Christian Burial at St. Francis Xavier Church on Monday, January 30, 2012 at 10:00 AM. Fr. Tony Sejba officiating. Burial to follow in Holy Cross Cemetery Brookpark Road, Cleveland.
