Helen M. Pyles, 82, a resident of Windham since 1956, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, September 24, 2012.
She was born February 16, 1930 in Newburg, WV to Oscar and Beulah (Wolfe) Larew.
Helen was a registered nurse at Robinson Memorial Hospital for 24 years, retiring in 1987. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, bird watching, and especially time spent with her family and friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Pyles of Windham; son, Terry (Lillian) Pyles of Ravenna; brother, Richard Larew of Vienna, OH; sister, Madeline (George) O’Reilly of Virginia; grandchildren, Christina and Angela; and great-grandchildren, TreVaughn, Alicia, Aidan, and Mackenzie.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Harold A. Pyles in 1977; brothers, Jay and Pete Larew; sister Mary and great-grandchild Terian.
Calling hours are 5-7 PM on Thursday, September 27, 2012 at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, Ohio 44231, where funeral services will be held at noon on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Helen’s name to the American Heart Association 840 Southwestern Run, Youngstown, OH 44514.
