Helene I. Boehnen, age 85, of Richfield passed away at her residence after a long illness on Monday, December 23, 2013. She was born in St. Germain En Laye, France on December 19, 1928 to Joseph and Josephine (nee Novak) Kasprzak.
Helene married Lester Boehnen on April 21,1967. She was a homemaker, excellent seamstress, and she enjoyed gardening, cooking, painting and playing the piano. She was a member of Our Lady of Grace Parish Church in Hinckley.
Helene is survived by her son John (Connie) Marzullo, grandchildren; Mariah (Chris) Cadnum, Monique (Jim) Ascherl, Matthew (Cheryl) Marzullo, great-grandchildren; Benjamin, Elise, Lillian, Hailey, Michael, Leo, and one on the way.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother John Kasprzak.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 27, 2013 from 4 to 7 PM at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 3477 Medina Road (corner of Rt. 18 & River Styx Rd) Medina, Ohio. 10 AM Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Our Lady of Grace Parish Church 1088 Ridge Road Hinckley, Ohio (Please meet at the Church). Fr. Joe Mecir officiating. Burial to follow in Friendsville Cemetery.
