JANET H. FRISHGESELL

Janet Frishgesell, 83, of Medina passed away on Wednesday, October 13th, 2021, surrounded by her family. She was born on January 5, 1938 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Joseph and Amelia (Widmer) Janosek.

Janet's life was spent feeding everyone. She absolutely loved cooking and baking and her favorite place was the kitchen She treasured all holidays, gatherings with family or friends, she never met a party she didn't like. Known for her cheesecake, zucchini bread, sweet potatoes (yams), stuffing, gravies and more ... it was all part of who she was to her family and friends.

Janet enjoyed spending long summer weekends with Emil, her brother Ed and Jane her sister-in law, cousin Joe and his wife Colleen, as well as other family members and friends on their boats where feeding them was a main priority.

She is survived by her children; Jim (Terri) Frishgesell of Medina, Sharon (Neil) Schabel of Brunswick, and Laura Norwalk of Glendale, Arizona. She was a loving grandmother to 6 grandchildren; Meghan, Molly, Julia, Eddie, Krista, and Kayla, and 7 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Janet is preceded in death by her loving husband, Emil, with whom she was blessed with 61 years of marriage.

Join the family for visitation at 9:00 am followed by Mass at 10:00 am on Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at Holy Martyrs, 3100 Old Weymouth Rd, Medina. Interment will follow at 12:30 pm in the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Rd., Seville. The family entrusted Carlson Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, Medina to handle the arrangements.
