Janet E. Murphy, age 80, resident of Medina, passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2013. She was born on March 27, 1933 to Alexander and Eugenia (nee Pienkowski) in Cleveland, Ohio.
Janet was a loving wife, mother, homemaker and friend. She always had a smile, joke and loved reading gardening and early Rock and Roll music, especially Saxophone. Janet loved her grandchildren and was a true animal lover.
She will be dearly missed by her sons; Thomas (Teri), Rick (Terry), Michael (Diana), daughter; Pamela (Charles) Ratcliff, grandchildren; Mike, Connie, Sandy, Mitchell, Mike, Jacklyn, Craig, Kelly, Charles Jr. and 10 great-grandchildren, also her brother, Alex (Jean) Sombaty.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Thomas, and sister Rita.
The family invites friends for the burial on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at 11 AM in Woodvale Cemetery, Middleburg Hts. (Please meet at the funeral home at 10 AM.) A gathering to celebrate Janet will follow burial from 1 to 3 PM at Carlson Funeral Home, 3477 Medina Road (corner of River Styx and Rt.18), Medina,Ohio. Service will follow after visitation at the funeral home with Deacon Dan Norris celebrant.
