JOHN D. ERBS

John D. Erbs, age 77, of Medina, passed away on February 26, 2020. He was born on January 8, 1943, in Norwalk, OH, to the late Erhardt and Bertha (nee Gonczy) Erbs.
John was a graduate of Parma Senior High School. He received his Bachelor's degree from Bowling Green State University and his Master's degree from DePaul University.
John retired from the Cleveland Sight Center in 2007 after 10 years as Director of Training. He had previously been Director of Training and Placement at Vocational Guidance Services for 17 years. He also served as a surveyor for the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities which gave him the opportunity to travel throughout the country.
He was a regular visitor to the Cleveland Clinic main campus for several years with his certified therapy dog, Mikki. In his spare time, he enjoyed riding his motorcycle and working out at the gym.
He will be dearly missed by his loving wife, Deborah (nee White); daughters, Emily (Joe) Sherwood, Danielle Erbs; grandsons, Aiden, Cameron; Brother, Nelson (Cheryl) Erbs; and sister, Marian Placko (Sam-d.).
Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 3477 Medina Road, Medina, OH 44256.
