J. KEITH FOWLER

February 2, 1952 — July 25, 2022

J. Keith Fowler, 70, of Brunswick, Ohio, passed away on Monday, July 25, 2022 at the Cleveland Clinic - Fairview Hospital. He was born on February 2, 1952 in Cleveland, OH to the late John and Adelaide (nee Trudley) Fowler.

He is survived by his wife Cathy (nee Reidy), sons Ryan and Michael (wife Colleen), grandsons Jack and Dan, brothers Scott (wife Tina), Richard (wife Nancy) and sister Lynn Thompson (husband Ron). John was preceded in death by his father and mother, John and Adelaide Fowler.

Keith truly enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. His love of sports was unrivaled. While he quietly rooted for the Indians/Guardians, Cavaliers, and Ohio State Buckeyes to win, his beloved Cleveland Browns were his favorite. Keith, his brother Dick and father attended the 1964 NFL Championship game when the Browns beat the Baltimore Colts, 27-0.

Upon retirement from Travelers Insurance, he would travel the greater-Cleveland area during high school football and basketball seasons to support his alma mater, Olmsted Falls High School.

A car ride with Keith would feature the best of Cleveland sports talk radio, Geoff Sindelar, Tony Rizzo, Greg Brinda and the full spectrum of the AM radio dial. On other nights, you could find him comfy cozy in his recliner catching a rerun of The Andy Griffith Show or watching Days of Our Lives, King of Queens, Twilight Zone, Frasier, Shark Tank, and QVC/HSN.

Keith looked forward to his next cup of coffee, premium dry rub chicken wings, Friday night pizza parties and the latest episode of "More Sports and Les Levine" on the tube to laugh at the voice of truth and reason.

He fought so, so hard until the very end and will be dearly missed.

A private funeral service will be held at the Carlson Funeral Home - Brunswick. Keith will be honored at a gathering to celebrate his life in late-August.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Keith's memory to either The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society ( https://www.lls.org/ ) or Olmsted Falls Athletic Boosters ( https://www.ofathleticboosters.org/ ' info@ofathleticboosters.org )
