John Juchum, age 87, of Brunswick, passed away Thursday, March 17, 2022. He was born September 11, 1934, in Cleveland to the late Michael and Helen (nee Retberg) Juchum. He graduated from Homerville High School and was an all-star athlete. John retired from Modern Tool and Die after 40 years of service. He was the owner operator of Juchum Excavating Co. John was an avid card player and a huge animal lover. He loved traveling the world with the love of his life, Marilyn. John will be deeply missed by his loving children, Gregg W. (Margaret) Juchum and Melanie Davis; grandchildren, Carl (Denise) Gotwald, Jacob Juchum, Noah Juchum, Mark (Erica) Smith, Torie Davis, and Christian Davis; great grandchildren, Evelyn Gotwald and Dexter Smith; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his loving wife, Marilyn; brothers, Walter Juchum, Norman Juchum, and Daniel Juchum; and sister, Auldine Schwartz. John's family has entrusted his care to Carlson Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, Brunswick. At a yet undetermined date the family will have a celebration of life and placement of both John and Marilyn's ashes. In lieu of flowers, contributions in John's name can made to the Medina County Animal Shelter, 6334 Deerview Ln, Medina, OH 44256.
