JOHN J. PEEBLES JR.

John J. Peebles Jr., age 87 of Mansfield, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 in Medina Hospital/Cleveland Clinic. He was born on December 20, 1928 in Millport, Ohio to John J. Sr. and Velma (nee Wince) Peebles.
John was an Army Veteran serving during WW11 and the Korean War. He was employed with Commercial Motor Freight as Manager for 36 years. He also was owner of Peebs Den in Mansfield for 16 years.
John and Elizabeth (nee Fairchild) were married on July 29, 1950. Elizabeth preceded him in death on July 4, 2016. He enjoyed bowling and gardening. He was a member of the Mansfield Elks.
John will be dearly missed by daughter, Pamela Peebles (Larry Evans, Jr.); son, Steve Peebles; grandchildren, Mark, Emily (Ceasar) Frias; great-grandchild, CT Frias, brother-in-law, Ray Kelley and many nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by parents and beloved wife; daughter Deborah K. Peebles; siblings, Barbara (Robert) Bookman, Blanche (Pete) Boggs, Alice Kelley, Mary (George) Hill.
In honoring Johns wishes there will be no visitation or service. Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 3477 Medina Road (corner of River Styx & Rt. 18), Medina, Ohio 44256. In lieu of flowers donations may be directed to Home Health Services, 335 Glessner Ave, Mansfield, Ohio 44903.
