JOSEPH MICHAEL MAXIMOVICH

February 26, 1930 — February 25, 2011

Joseph Michael Maximovich 80, of North Olmsted, passed away February 24, 2011. He was born February 26, 1930 in Akron, Ohio to Michael and Josephine (nee Salzurmmer).

Joseph graduated from St. Vincent- St. Mary’s High School, and went on to serve in the United States Army, during the Korean Conflict with the 82nd Airborne Division. Joseph retired as an Electrician in 1994 after 33 year’s employment with Republic Steel, and was a member of United Steelworkers Union. He enjoyed being a family man, sharing activities with his family, and his special time with his grandchildren.

Surviving are his sons; Joseph (wife Emergilda) of Cleveland, Brian (wife Lois) of Niles, Darryl (wife Brenda) of Brunswick Twp. Gary (wife Nichelle) of Maple Hts., and Randall (wife Leslie) of N. Olmsted, grandchildren; Tina, Angela, Rebbeca, Sara , Jeremy, Brittany and Brandon, three sisters, six brothers.

Preceding him in death his wife Janet P. (nee Swesey) in 2008, parents and two brothers and one sister.

Family invites friends for visitation on Tuesday, March 1, 2011, from 5 to 8 PM at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services 3477 Medina Road (corner of River Styx and Rt. 18) Medina, Ohio 44256. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at St. Francis Xavier Church 606 E. Washington Medina, Ohio. Fr. Robert Lorkowski officiating. Burial with full military honors to follow in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman.
