JOSEPH "JOE" SCHAEFFER

Joseph “Joe” Schaeffer, 77 of Brunswick passed away on Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at the Cleveland Clinic. He was born July 7, 1933 in Karavokovo, Yugoslavia to Franz and Anna (nee Rechner) Schaeffer and was a United States Army Veteran.

He was employed for Van Dorn/Demag as a machinist before retiring after many years of service.

Joseph is survived by his wife Irma (nee Molzan) Schaeffer; children Irma (Joey) Ferline, Joe “Seppi” and Hildi (Scott) Hamrick; brother Richard Schaeffer; and grandchildren Emily, Jake and David.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may call on Friday, April 8, 2011 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. and one hour prior to Mass on Saturday at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road (1/2 mile South of Route 303), Brunswick. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. at Church of St. Colette, 330 W 130th Street, Brunswick. Interment will follow in Eastlawn Memory Gardens.
