Josephine Rice, 57 of Byesville, previously of Old Washington, passed away on Monday, February 8, 2010 as a result of an auto accident. She was born February 5, 1953 in Medina to Albert and Florence (nee Pawlus) Honeycutt and was a homemaker.

She was a Brunswick High School graduate and a member of St. Benedicts in Cambridge.

Mrs. Rice is survived by her children Misty (Brian) Robinson and Harold (Shanee) Rice of Cumberland; parents Albert and Florence Honeycutt of Quaker City; sisters Mary Ann (David) Kriak of Brunswick and Patricia (George) Jay of Litchfield; brother James Honeycutt; sister-in-law Kathy Honeycutt of Akron; grandchildren Shayla and Jonah Robinson and Madison, Jenna, and Joshua Rice; and nieces and nephews Kimberly (James) Colbert of Brunswick, Jody (Allison) Kriak of Medina, Lorrie (Scott) Castle of Columbus, Christine Hess of Brunswick, Jennifer (John) Reale of Avon Lake, Martin (Darcie) Jay of Gloria Glenns, Melinda Jay of Litchfield, Daniel Grethen Honeycutt of Indianapolis Indiana, Julie (Cory) Rader of Tallmadge, Carrie (David) Hammon of Medina, and Jenny (Ted) Coffman of Akron.

She was preceded in death by her husband Harold Rice and brother Daniel Honeycutt.

Friends may join the family for visitation on Friday, February 12, 2010 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road (1/2 mile South of Route 303), Brunswick. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Our Lady Help of Christian Church, 9608 Norwalk Road (Route 18), Litchfield with Rev. Fr. Ronald Bryda officiating. Interment will follow in Litchfield Cemetery.
