JUDITH GAYLE MATHEWS

Judith G. Mathews, "GeeGee", 77, of Louisville, Ohio, lost her courageous battle with Covid and went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 25, 2020. She was born on March 18, 1943 in Rockford, IL, the daughter of William and Helen Greene.

GeeGee is survived by her husband, Joseph Mathews, her brothers, Calvin "Hank" (Judy) Greene of Howland, OH and William "Bill" Greene of McMinnville, TN, her children Gary (Amy) Holcomb of Jefferson, OH, Terri (Richard) Klacik of Austintown, OH, David (Janet) Holcomb of McMinnville, TN, Craig Holcomb of Kent, OH and her step-daughter Sherri (Timothy) Grubb of Holly Springs, NC, as well as 15 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.

GeeGee was an active member of Canton Baptist Temple and loved singing in the church choir. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family and friends, especially her children, grandchildren, and her little dog Rosie. GeeGee retired from Swagelok in 2003 and then volunteered at daycare centers, women's shelters, and food kitchens. Our mother had an infectious smile, a loving heart, and touched the lives of everyone she met.

The family will receive friends on a Drive Through basis on Wednesday, December 2, 2020, from 5:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services 8382 Center Street, Garrettsville, Ohio, 44231. All funeral services are private. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, December 3, at 12:00 p.m. at Windham Township Cemetery.
