KATHRYN JANE GIBSON

Kathryn Jane Gibson, age 81 of Hudson, Ohio passed away on Sunday, February 28, 2016 at the Hospice of Medina County with her beloved husband by her side after mocking cancer for 8 years. She was born on January 28, 1935 to Walter and Ellen (nee Tarbox) Purdom in Toledo, Ohio.
Jane and Edwin Conrad Gibson were married on November 23, 1973. She received her BA from Mushingum University, MA in English from Redlands University and MA in Guidance from Case Western Reserve. Jane enjoyed teaching at Euclid High School for 28 years and Kent State University for 8 years. She was dedicated to her church, serving 43 years in many ministries.
Jane will be dearly missed by her husband, sons; Mark (Tiffany), Eric and grandchildren; Josh, Ben, Paz Sofia.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Dr. William Purdom.
Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at Christ Church Episcopal 21 Aurora Street, Hudson, Ohio 44236. Memorial gifts may be made to: ECW Christ Church Episcopal, 21 Aurora Street, Hudson, Ohio 44026 or Hospice of Medina County; Western Reserve Medina, 5075 Windfall Road, Medina, Ohio 44256.
