KENNETH D. SNYDER SR.

Kenneth D Snyder Sr. 80, of Medina and former resident of Olmsted Falls and Cleveland and also Pennsylvania, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 1, 2013. He passed away peacefully at the Hospice Center of Medina surrounded by his family. He was born August 13, 1933 in Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania and grew up in Alverton, PA.

He is a veteran of the U.S. military serving honorably in the Army. Ken retired from Kirkwood Industries after 30 years of employment. He is the former husband of Arlena “Long.”

He is preceded in death by his parents Charles and Mildred (nee Newmyer) Snyder. Ken is also preceded in death by his siblings: Gene, Glen, Paul, Art, Grace, Catherine, Nina and Carol.

He is survived by his children: Frank (Sue), Judy (Bill), Connie (Eddie), Sharon (Gust), Ken Jr. (Shawn), Vicky (Bruce), sisters Gladys, Eileen, Linda, and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and his longtime companion (pet) Bianca. He will be so greatly missed.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2013 from 1 to 4 PM and at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 3477 Medina Road (Rt. 18 and River Styx Road) Medina, Ohio. Funeral Service to follow at 4 PM. Inurnment will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Road, Rittman, Ohio on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at 11 AM. (PLEASE MEET AT CEMETERY ENTRANCE 15 MINUTES PRIOR ).
