DR. LUIS ALBERTO OYARZUN

Dr. Luis Alberto Oyarzun, 93, of Garrettsville, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 27, 2018. He was born on January 26, 1925 in Valparaiso, Chile.
Luis immigrated to the United States in 1960. He received his PhD from the University of Illinois in 1973. Luis taught at various Universities; Bradley, University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana, Suny Brockport, NY, Kent State University and Hiram College.
Luis is survived by his wife, Jane (nee Killam), whom he married in 1967; children, Luis Andres OyarzunM and Maria Teresa OyarzunM; granddaughter, Francisca; great granddaughter, Magdalena and first wife, Teresa Machiavello Leon.
Honoring Luis’ wishes cremation has taken place.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, Ohio
