MARGARET M. TUSHAR

Margaret M. Tushar, 93, of Garrettsville, passed away on October 2, 2016. She was born on June 22, 1923 to Ottway Gurganus and Minnie (Silverthorn) Gurganus in Bath, North Carolina.

She was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Garrettsville, Ohio. Margaret was an active member of the Altar and Rosary Society. She was a bargain shopper! Margaret loved to travel with her family. Her family was the center of her life. She loved being a homemaker and mother!

Margaret is survived by her sons, Phil (Theresa) Tushar of Garrettsville, Michael (Lynda) Tushar of Venice, Florida and Jeffrey (Tracy) Newton, PA; daughter Anita (Woody) Bennett of Garrettsville; brother, Floyd (Ola Rae) of Bath, NC; sister, Thelma of Washington, NC; grandchildren, Stuart, Shani, Dane, Brittany, Doug, Scott, Minda, Megan, Michelene, Trevor, Benjamin and Ellie; great-grandchildren, Charlie, Payton, Lakin, Kenadi, Logan, Aiden, James, Sydny, Brynna, Lauren, Mason, Dustin, Drew, Colin and Evan and great-great granddaughter, Ainsley.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles in 2015; brothers, William and Carl and sisters, Hallie and Juanita.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 7, 2016 from 5-7 PM at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial to be held on Saturday, October 8, 2016, 12 PM at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 10692 Freedom St., Garrettsville, Ohio with Father Ed Stafford officiating.
