MARILYN SMOOT

November 9, 1954 - February 27, 2022

Marilyn Smoot, age 67, of Medina, passed away Sunday, February 27, 2022. She was born on November 9, 1954, to the late Lonnie and Alice (nee Bolton) West in Cleveland, Ohio. She graduated from West Tech. Marilyn met the love of her life Roger around 1972 a few years after his return from the Army. They got married a few years later and lived in Cleveland Ohio. They eventually moved from Cleveland and bought a house in Brunswick Ohio, where they would raise their two kids- Kimberly and Robby. Marilyn loved and adored her family and friends. She would welcome anyone into her home and would do anything for anybody. She brought life and joy wherever she went. Marilyn absolutely loved and adored her grandchildren. She was there for every milestone in their life. Marilyn enjoyed the simple pleasures of life: good food, good company, and good conversations. She will be deeply missed. Marilyn will be deeply missed by her loving husband of 47 years, Roger; children, Kimberly Smoot and Robby Smoot; grandchildren, Kaden Levandusky and Isabella Levandusky; and brother, Wayne West. In addition to her parents, Marilyn was preceded in death by her siblings, Edith Fowler, James West, Judy Setser, and Harold West. Please join the family for a memorial visitation on Saturday, March 12, 2022, from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Carlson Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Rd (1/2 mile south of route 303), Brunswick. Inurnment will be Monday, March 14, 2022, at 10:45 am in the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Rd, Seville. Please meet at the gate at 10:30 am for burial.
