MARION POINDEXTER
April 24, 1918 — July 20, 2010
Marion Poindexter, 92 of Medina passed away on Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at Hospice of Medina at The Inn. He was born April 24, 1918 in Barboursville, Kentucky and was a United States Marine Corps Veteran serving in WWII.
He was a Seaman who enjoyed the outdoors, golf, and spending time with his family. He attended Cornerstone Chapel. Mr. Poindexter is survived by his children; Brenda Henderson, Ronald (Cathy) and James (Kathy) Poindexter, sisters; Alta Mitchell and Virginia Molly, 6 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Virginia (nee Abbott) Poindexter, his parents, and son-in-law Gene Henderson.
Friends may join the family for visitation on Thursday, July 22, 2010 from 5 to 8 P.M. at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 3477 Medina Road (Corner of Route 18 & River Styx Road), Medina. Funeral Service also at funeral home on Friday, July 23, 2010 at 12 Noon. Pastor Mark Milioni of First Baptist Church of Medina to be officiating. Interment will follow in Eastlawn Memory Gardens.
