Mary Barshay, age 79, of North Royalton, passed away on November 12, 2013. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio on August 19, 1934 to John and Mary (nee Gaughan) O’Boyle. Nicholas Barshay and Mary were married on May 5, 1956.
She was employed with the U.S. Postal Service as a clerk. Mary enjoyed traveling especially to Mexico and liked to play cards and board games. She was involved in Real Estate and was a loving Mother and Foster Parent.
She is survived by son, Nicholas Barshay, daughter, Peg (Gil) Patterson, grandchildren; Patrick, Colleena, Aelish, Celia and great-grandchildren; Paxton and Brock and brother, John (Nancy) O’Boyle.
She was preceded in death by her husband Nicholas on November 2, 2004, parents and sister, Nora.
Visitation will be held on November 16, 2013 from 10 to 11 AM at Holy Martyrs Parish Church, 3100 S. Weymouth Road Medina, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 AM. (Please meet at the Church). Arrangements were entrusted to Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 3477 Medina Road, Medina, Ohio.
