Photo: Obituary: Mary Sue Howes, 84 of Windham, passed away at Akron City Hospital on Sunday, August 19, 2012. She was born on March 24, 1928 in Sutton, West Virginia to Guy and Nettie Grace (Gillespie) Ellison. Mary enjoyed gambling, fishing, quilting and playing ball with her dog, “Bandit.” She is survived by her son, John (Elizabeth) of Windham, daughters, Patricia Lovas and Deborah (Kenneth) Cruise all of Windham, Donna Howes of Florida; siblings, Arthur Lee (Betty) Ellison and Burnell (Linda) Ellison of all of Nelson, and Betty Leu Carroll of Garrettsville; grandchildren Zach, Josh, Katie, David, Jaime, Michael, Monica, Mary, Jason, Bambi, Joshua and Angela and 21 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband John W. Howes, Sr. in 1999; siblings, Juanita Carpenter McCumbers, Garnet “Connie” Stoner, Catherine Gay Frame, Junior Ray, Allie Mae Carroll and Homer J. Ellison and grandchildren, Russell, Johnny and Michelle. Calling hours are 1-3 PM on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, OH 44231 where memorial services will follow at 3 P.M. at the funeral home with Rev.
