MARY E. SMITH

Mary E. Smith age 84, resident of Wadsworth, passed away on Thursday, October 8, 2015. She was born on January 18, 1931 in Cherrydale, VA to Theodore and Augusta (nee Trent) Hartman. Mary was employed for 25 plus years with the Citizens Bank in Wadsworth. She enjoyed counted cross stitching for more than 15 years; and won many awards during competitions at the Stan Hywet Hall in Akron.

Mary will be dearly missed by her daughter, Sheila (Dale) Holzhuter, son Eric (Linda) Smith, grandchildren; Hannah Smith and Chad Holzhuter also step-grandchildren Brent, Luke and Anna Miller. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Anthony G. Smith and step-father Elton Johnson also her step-brother Jennings Smith.

In honoring her request there will be no services. Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 3477 Medina Road, Medina, Ohio were entrusted with arrangements. In lieu of flowers contributions may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association, Greater East Ohio Area Chapter, 70 West Streetsboro St. Suite 201, Hudson, Ohio 44236.
